I have always loved Black and White photography, but I am sad to say I have been ignoring it for the last couple of years, so inspired by some of the images on the Org, particularly Deemacs, it's time to correct the problem.

I love black and white photo's feel there's more atmosphere in the picture.

Really enjoy b/w pics. Like the light on the water in no 1, the sand in no 3 and amazing clouds in no 3.

Almost missed this thread. Nice shots Northlight. Thanks for the mention.

Raven was my inspiration in this particular area. Like you I hadn't done B&W for years (in fact almost +20 years going back to my college days)

Its such an evocative and underused way of presenting a scene/image. If the weather isn't playing ball I always switch into B&W mode now (of course all done in PS - hiss, boo, cheat I hear from the back of the hall!!);)

Love number 3 - the contrast of the sand and the sky is superb, especially when you'd normally expect the land to be dark and the sky to be light.
