Hi folks,

just a note to say cheerio. The family and I are off to sunny Aiberdeen to take up a new appointment with The Salvation Army there.

Thanks to all of you for the 'orger welcome', for all the good conversations and debates, for all the 'good Chinese' advice and for generally being a good bunch. Sorry we couldn't have stayed around longer.

mar sin leibh an-drasta, le durachd,

Andrew, I love the new avatar!

There is something about the spiritual energy of Caithness that is hard to walk away from.

Once you get settled in Aberdeen the org will be waiting for you. I hope to see you on the boards again before too long.

We have very different views on Religion Andrew. However, you put your side of it well and I enjoyed the debates on the matter.

I wish you and your family well in your new location. Good luck.

More to the point Andrew, when are you going to reply?

When he has the time I would guess. I didn't realise there was a time limit on these things. I simply assumed that he would be busy and would respond when everyone had been given time to say anything they wanted to say.

I don't have faith in "God" but I have faith in Andrew responding.

I believe Andrew and his family are on holiday just now, but will be back for a short time before they leave for Aberdeen.

Good news for the impatient and those who like knowing when a house is lying unoccupied!!

Let's all post the news of fellow orgers being away!!

Why the peevishness TBH?

Let Andrew reply when he can, and scorrie reply as he wishes :confused. He certainly doesn't need a lesson in one-liners!

Back on thread, here's wishing you, Andrew and family, a successful and happy new life in Aberdeen (despite our disagreements :D).

Let's put it this way. There is a far greater chance of it being unoccupied when the occupants are away on holiday.

Will you be posting to let us all know when YOU are going to be out of town?

I think it irresponsible to post such information on a public forum. If "good old Scorrie" jibes be your best shot at a response, then so be it.

Why not, Im away from home Monday to Friday from 9.00am until 8.30pm. There you go, do what you like with that information.

I'm amazed at how pathetic you appear to be. I remember a time, long ago when I used to have a modicum of respect for you.

Your comment is not strictly true. You were good enough to leave me positive rep a few days ago. That is hardly, "long ago"

I don't think it is good practice to give out information about other people's whereabouts on a public forum. I don't see that as being "pathetic", it is simply my opinion. I don't think that your response to this was warranted. If you feel differently on the matter, that is fine by me. I will RESPECT your view. If you could do likewise in return, MY opinion of YOU, will be greatly enhanced.

ps I have no use for your information concerning your whereabouts during the week but it may prove useful to someone who specialises in certain activities.

He he....I had a jolly wee laugh in reading the responses. Thanks for your good wishes and the daily updates on my current location.

I can now confirm that 'Andrew has left the building' and currently residing in the wilds of Aberdeen. I'm speaking by wonders of the wonderfully nostalgic dial-up internet until tiscali can get their act together :o)

May well pop in to the quiz noo and again, but our odd wee Army regulations require me to lay low on the Wick front for the period of a year. :o)

Anyway, thanks again for the comments and take care o yersels and ithers.

I'm sure my dug will remain forever a dowg.

Cheers Andrew, I had every ounce of confidence in you. Don't mention Wick, but DO keep us informed of when your house is empty. Some poor souls need that edge to get by in life. ;)
