My dog isn't keen on the car, the last trip she ended up at the vets due to hyperventilating, we are planning another trip soon and I would like to know if anyone has first hand experience of having their pet sedated for travelling as leaving her behind is not an option

i had my orange roan cocker spaniel sedated,..the vet gave us wee yellow tablets/.i can not think of their name.....

zoe was still car sick.......but sedated well.her eyes were at her feet for 2 days.

the dog has to have their heart checked before getting this drug.
can u put her in a covered cge with her blanket/fave toyetc??
i hope u get something for her..good luck.

My daughter when coming to visit here always has to have her dog sedated. He's 10 years old now. The first couple of trips he was completely zonked and took a couple of days of being dozy aswell as daft. He now has half the dose and does fine. He doesn't seemed harmed.
He goes through the usual vet check prior to tabs being prescribed.
