Golf spectator

I dont play golf however I watched a bit on the telly today because nowt else on.
With lots of people watching and following the players around I am supprised nobody gets hit with a ball.
Also the players on the hole in front look to be in the fireing line.
Do people get hit ,as I would have thought it hard to see one coming at you ?
You never hear of anybody getting hit or seriously hurt .
Has any orgers ever been hit ,as I bet it would hurt.?

People do get hit occasionally, in fact a spectator was hit in the opening round on Thursday. Players in front should be far enough away that they wont be in any danger. Dont forget that the camera may appear to shorten the distance between groups of players. As for the pain, I wouldn't volunteer for any trials:(.

Kevin you maybe need to watch a bit more! Yep people do get hit and the occasional bird! Never been hit myself but I would think it would be darned sore! :eek:
