Hi

Can anyone suggest somewhere nice to eat at Lybster?

The Portland Arms Hotel looks really nice but was wondering if anyone had other suggestions?

I’m looking for a lunch time meal instead of evening.

Many thanks :)

There is a cafe in Lybster called The Cross and I know the people there personally, an they are very nice people. Their number is 01593 721 751 hope this helps.

I've just got home after staying in Lybster.

The Cross is OK, and very good value. Other than that the Portland Arms seems to be the only choice as far as I could tell, but they often get very busy. We visited 3 times hoping for food: The 1st time there was a wedding on and they were too usy, the second time we did eat, but there was a *very* long wait (they apologised and gave us a free drink), and the third time we were told as it was nearly 8pm, they only served residents of the hotel, so we didn't go back. Dissapointing: 8pm isn't that late, is it?

Waterlines looked nice, but we didn't go to the harbour in the day, so it was shut. Prices were very reasonable though.
