HIGHLAND YOUTH CONVENER,NEACH-GAIRM ÒIGRIDH,
Inverness, £10,000 bursary, 12 months from 1st September 2008.

We are looking for the Highland’s next Youth Convener. You’ll help make the Highlands the best place in Scotland to be young by ensuring that the voice of young people in Highland is heard on issues and developments that impact them. You’ll work with the Council’s Youth Development Team in developing Highland Youth Voice and other initiatives that increase youth involvement in decisions that affect them. You’ll be a key representative of young people in Highland at various committee meetings. You must be aware of issues affecting young people and be able to represent their views. A good communicator, with work experience in youth projects and the ability to work with and relate to a wide range of people and organisations (See Contract Specification - available on request from audrey.anthoney@highland.gov.uk).
