I know this thread is of Afghanistan (our middle son was there in 2007 - he's now in Iraq again) but just to say how impressed we are with the e-blueys* we use the 'Quick Letter Writer'.. As an example our son wrote to us at 10.21am on the 25th June and we had his e-bluey delivered by the Postie at 14.15 the nest day, and we're up here on the Far North coastline.
*The e-bluey system plays a major part in the MoD's welfare package to the Armed Forces. It allows the relatives and friends of service personnel to maintain personal and private contact with them whilst they are serving on operations overseas. e-bluey allows users to compose a letter on a PC, use the e-bluey program to send it, and know with confidence it will arrive at its destination on the other side of the world.
The e-bluey combines speed and privacy because of the integrated mail printer. It prints, folds and seals all e-blueys without anyone seeing the content. Letters for delivery to an operational site are downloaded and printed in the country of operation, then delivered through the BFPO network. http://www.bfpo.mod.uk/ebluey_home.htm (http://www.bfpo.mod.uk/ebluey_home.htm)
