He has just given veterans on a war pension free travel in London .. http://www.london.gov.uk/view_press_release.jsp?releaseid=17533 .. nice practical gift to those affected on Veterans Day. You wouldnt have seen Red Ken do that !!

Nice to see someone in a position of power actually doing something practical to help, he might be a bit of a buffoon at times but its nice to see something useful being done instead of the spin we hear from Neu Arbeit.

Nice one Boris, and also to the owner of my local who has promised the first drink free today to the veterans that frequent his establishment.

Pint of Jack Daniels and Coke for me .. ;)

Certainly not a Boris fan but I have to say it is good to see him doing something for people to whom we owe a lot and who have shown their commitment to our country.

Great idea in principle, its just a shame that those who have been injured and didnt recieve a pension will lose out.
Good on Boris for at least trying, now all he needs is a decent barber and I might take him seriously ;)

At last someone with authority who can recognise our heros not before time. Might seem a small gesture but its a start. Take note Mr Brown more the your doing for our men and women

It is a very small gesture, but a carefully planned one. Like I said in another thread, Boris isn't as daft as he likes to portray.

Indeed.
Regardless of his politics, he's one very sharp chappie under that bumbling exterior.

Nice one Boris, well done.

This old WW2 veteran believes it to be a good idea.

Very nice gesture!

As for Red Ken not doing it, read and learn (http://www.bilderberg.org/farefare.htm) :D

Rather more than a gesture and totally scuppered by the nice tories ;)
