my daughter has to build a website for a club she is in, she has built her own webpages on pizco etc but doesn't feel that type of site would be appropriate.

We are wondering of any other sites where she would be able to build a free website.

any recommendations??

try this for hosting your daughter's site

http://www.geocities.com

I used microsoft publisher and frontpage express to write my site until I was a bit more au fait with html code.

If you register with yahoo email they usually give u free space for a website and also u should have free space for building a website on the service provider you are with at the moment but the only problem with using free webspace is that u will get popups or adds coming up on your website.

hi i have got webs all over the place and what i have done was looked up www.google.co.uk (http://www.google.co.uk) to have a look at the make you'r own websites for free.
It gave eg of some webs that i could go on to do it.

If no luck there i am usin www.wanadoo.co.uk (http://www.wanadoo.co.uk) 's website and you can build you'r own website thier as long as you register with them though.

Good luck

Webs.com is free and I found to be a good place to make a website when I first started.

Really weird that other "dug up" threads get closed by the Hand on High :confused

Mind you would probably help if folk, once they got the help they requested, closed the threads themselves. Not getting at the OP here just a thought :)

Dragonfly,

You don't say whether she has to have her site hosted or just build one. The kids at my school use a piece of software called Serif WebPlus 10. It is very easy to use and can be previewed in a browser without being hosted.

Try www.freewebs.com (http://www.freewebs.com) or www.bravenet.com (http://www.bravenet.com)

Two I used to use when making websites which were easy to use.

Bloody hell, they're still at it. Doesn't anyone bother to read a thread before posting on it?
