It could only happen in Ireland.

The BBC have edited it. Earlier on it said the car was an automatic and that SHE selected forward instead of reverse. I don't why they have edited it.

Why does something like this amuse me so much? :confused

As long as no-one was hurt; I seem to thrive on other people's stupid mistakes...

Here do not tar us all with the same brush! I see women like these tryin to park these huge vehicles and man alive it can be scary! Blimey if they can't do something simple like that they should not be driving the things! I am fed up of some women giving all women drivers a bad name!

In my experience, it's normally men I see speeding, cutting corners, not indicating, putting on their make up...

also agree that women are more careful drivers than men,

so where does it say it was a woman driver?

O Come On!
How could you possibly think a bloke would park his Lexus like that.;)

Tut, tut Kevin - you're trying to start an arguement... aren't you?

Men are generally better at parking on top of other cars anyway so by the state of this attempt it must have been a woman!!:lol:

Can't speak for all women, but I can speak for my wife. She's a better driver than me. She's never been ticketed for any driving violations. Wish I could say the same for me, but I cannot.

Of all the women drivers I've known, there are very few I would say are good drivers. Also, when it comes to parking a car, women are hopeless because they have no spatial awareness. I know women can multi-task better than men but ladies please remember when you are maneuvering in a car-park to leave the lipstick in your bag.[lol]

Since I work in the tarmac industry I can tar you all better than some....start forming an orderly queue please, and no fighting at the back.[lol]

Further to the poor parking story I'll relate one that happened to me.

I was shopping in Sainsbury's recently, they have a big car-park of maybe about 300 spaces. There wasn't many cars in as it was 10am-ish, I've parked in space with loads of empty spaces around me. When I come back out I find a woman has parked right next to me! Why?-there was about 200 empty spaces yet she chose to park right slap, bang next to me! I felt like asking her why but I'd probably have been arrested for scaring her.

Do you not just love the Irish accent though? The guy that was interviewed, saying "befuddled"! If I had to be given bad news, I'd prefer a Southern Irish person to tell me it. It's a kind of "everything will be ok in the end, to be sure" type thing.
I hate to admit it but men are probably better drivers. You get two kind of women drivers: the ones that drive like they're bi-polar, or the ones that won't overtake a tractor, even when the road is clear for the next 2 miles. Unfortunately, I fall into the latter category :)
