I have been torturing the caithness community long enough with my cowboy approach to singing, too long have i inflicted the paying puter with intelligible notes of horror, for years i have insulted written music with my own metaphorical doodling!!

I suppose the gerneral point im trying to get accross is im guff at singing.

Does anybody know of a vocal coach, or someone who could provide one or two lessons, within caithness.

Cheers

you might want to investigate some of the choral/choir groups Kev. It probably won't be musically to your liking but will certainly teach you how to use your vocal chords. I'm in no doubt that there are people who will teach you on a 1-1 basis.

I can teach you how NOT to sing if thats any use? Just listen to me squak then simply do the opposite!

Good idea chobbers,

im pretty sure my mum is in a church choir, would be a good avenue to look into for learning.

I dont think i could handle the early sunday mornings though.

I will enquire. . .

You could try the Melvich Gaelic Choir. I think they meet every Thursday at Melvich School - 7pm. Pat Kieran's your best contact here.
