Download it from the European version of the Mozilla site:

No server problems there. ;)
I managed to get it not long after my post, seems there were more than me with problems

How do I import/save my favourites from Firefox2 into Firefox3? I installed 3 but non of the favourites from 2 were there. So until I can import favourites from Firefox 2 I can't use Firefox3.

You can export the bookmarks FF2 by doing the following:
In FF2:
Click Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks... to open the Bookmarks window
In the Bookmarks window, click File > Export...
Save the HTML file somewhere
In FF3:
Click Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks... to open the Library window
In the Library window, click "Import and Backup" and choose "Import HTML."
Load the file you saved.
Then use the Library to delete duplicates.
If you had installed FF3 into the same directory as FF2, the bookmarks would have automatically transferred over. But then you wouldn't have both FF2 and FF3 on your PC. ;)

Or you could use a rather nice little extension known as foxmarks, enables keeping your bookmarks synchronised across multiple PC's (or different versions of firefox).
