if you paste all that lot and hit enter in your browser it should come up with a map.
Basically drive to Watten Left at the brown trout crossroads. follow the road all the way across the A9 and its a wee way down on your right. You park up and its a fairish walk up the hill but worth it .
Have fun hope you find some good fossils.

we did go, dodging the showers and had a brilliant time. we went at 2 onwards and there was about 10 - 15 other folkes there. The SNH folk provided goggles and hammers and gave information on what to look out for. the displays on the newly built shelter are very informative and well laid out. My son 7 had a fabulous time, he found 3 pieces with fossils in.
Its amazing to think that these fossil fish are older than the dinosaurs.

Well worth a visit and will definitely be back in the holidays for another visit and take the rest of the family and grandad too!

I've always wanted to find a fossil since I was a kid. Is it now open to the public or was it a one off open day?
