Has the drilling started at Lybster We got stuck behind a convoy of four heavy lorries on Berriedale today and they all turned down a side road south of Lybster.

September 2007 - Caithness Site Construction Commences
Site construction has started for an onshore drilling project in Lybster, Caithness. This marks the start of the first onshore drilling project in Scotland for Norwell since being established in 1989. The well will be drilled directionally from onshore to a target location under the Moray Firth with the Edeco 40. Expected spud date is early 1st Quarter 2008.

no they have not started drilling yet they have only just started to build the plant...and there was seven lorry,s arrived onsite yesturday wednesday...there are also two cranes there raising the plant up...

today sunday i notice that the building is growing in size for the drill rig..its going to be huge...:lol:

Drilling is to start in Lybster either 19th or 20th June and will continue 24/7 for about 3 months.

achording to the operaters drilling will start in the morning and stop in the evenings...that was in the letter we recieved......alsothey have not started drilling yet they are still getting ready..and i put a couple of photo,s on the photograghy thread...just to let people see what it is like
