Does anyone have a cutting from a fuschia I could have. I had one in a previous garden and it was a wonderful splash of red in a rather dull corner. I would love to have that again. Advice on keeping them alive would be useful too. I am not the best gardener in the world.

There are fuchsias and fuchsias. Some are hardy, some not.

I have a number of fuchsias around my garden, all raised from cuttings from an Orkney parent. Probably derived from F magellanica. It flourishes as a hedging plant in Orkney, and it certainly has never let me down here.

I take cuttings every year, just for fun. So I have a few in pots.

So if you are interested, PM me.

Very interested - thank you. All I remember about the one I had was it reminded me of dark red upside down umbrellas. It took a lot of pruning, one type of gardening I actually enjoy. Spent hours weeding today and thats beyond boring.
