Just a few shots of a warbler seen over on Sanday, one of the more northerly Okneys, on Saturday. The bird was approx 11cm in length (about the same body length of a wren with a longer tail so size is pretty accurate the light was excellent the photographer (me) was unlucky to get a good shot of it worse luck. I think it may be a chiff-chaff or bonelli's but very difficult to definitely name i think any warbler experts want to help?

second shot was right over the garden (small field size) on a derelict chicken house (the hinge is a 7") but it may give you more help with body markings/face markings

Looks like a Chiffchaff. Dark legs (but not always reliable) and short primary projection rule out Willow Warbler.

Bonelli's would be much much paler (geyish tones not green) with very weak face pattern and noticeable panel on wings formed by yellow/green margins to the flight feathers. Also, you would have noticed an obvious pale rump.
