Just wondering how much is Council Rent these days for a 3 bedroom house.

Na sure but i'm nearly £70 a week for a 2 bedroomed house.

£78 (well £77 and some pence) - that's a 3 bed bungalow in Thurso

good god, what a difference! I live in a small one bedroom flat in the centre of reading for £650 pm (and we were lucky to get it that cheap, he wanted £675)

The whole of Berks/Hants is expensive. Four years ago I rented a room in Calcot @ £100 per week.

For curiosities sake: this house new in '76 - rent £8.80 a week. Great house, 3 beds..spacious. integral garage small gardens...rents now at £85 plus per week.

Mortgage: eighty five quid a month....3 years left...
It would break my heart (and me bank) to live south of Stoke-on-Trent

I dont rent a council house ,however I do rent a council garage .
Its a single garage with an up an over door and as they go its ok.
Its just gone up to £8-26 per week so when you look at the house situation I wonder if its value for money?
