If you haven't got a tripod or don't fancy carrying one around, watch this little video clip for a cracking idea to help stabilize any pics/video's you take

What a great idea.

Also worth trying is a bean bag (as long as you have an nearby object to place it on - like a fence post or wall) You can also it with the timer function for self-portraits etc.

Thanks, Tugmistress, I'm sure I got one of these 'Gadgets' free in a photomag years ago, in these days you fastened it to your belt. Nowadays the belly's in the way though. (LOL).

I'm pretty sure I have seen a commercial version of this, can't remember where and a quick look on the internet has not found anything - perhaps one of those magazines with the Sunday Papers.

STRAP POD, not sure I would pay $30 for one of these though, but the quick release mounts they make are superb.

Wow, that is a beauty Tugs, I have emailed the link to all my photography friends. I'm off to the hardware store!!!! Even I can manage to make a gadget like that one!!!
