Thought you would all like to know that Melvich Gaelic Choir are celebrating their 30th Anniversary in the Royal British Legion in Thurso on Saturday (this Saturday 26th). There are over 40 members in the choir now and they were a very respectable 3rd place in the Puirt-a-beul competition at the Royal National Mod this year :). Bill Fernie's sister's choir beat us in the Four Part Harmony :(

Joining them to celebrate will be Dingwall Gaelic Choir, Argyll Ladies Centenial Gaelic Choir alias Atomaig Piseag! (http://www.piseag.co.uk), all this year's Royal National Mod Gold Medallists and a few more local and invited guest artists. With a cracking dance band, piper, dancers and supper to boot it promises to be a great night!

I am sure the weather won't have a look in but considering they are coming from all over Scotland (from Argyll in the south to Mull, Skye and Lewis in the Islands!) what's the weather score Tugmistress? Rheggers, I hope that you are going to be coming along! Practice your Gaelic! :D Most of the visitors will be landing in the county tomorrow night and who knows - we might just take over the Comm in Thurso like we did last year - what a night that was!!!

Sorry Folks! We Have Had To Cancel This Great Event Due To The Fact That Our Artistes From "down South" Are Unable To Travel Due To The Adverse Weather Conditions.
