What do you want from your local High School?

Thurso High School Parent Council is holding an open evening on Thursday 22nd May in the Pentland Hotel to seek views from Parents and members of the local business community on what they want from their local High School. Pupils and staff in the High School are reviewing the school aims and deciding on what the important issues are for the school in terms of the education it offers pupils.

The intention of the open evening is to give parents and employers the opportunity to contribute to this discussion. After a brief opening presentation from Fiona Grant, the Headteacher of Thurso High School, those attending will then be divided into discussion groups to give everyone the opportunity to have their views considered. It is hoped that the discussions will generate suggestions and ideas on:

How the school can improve
What key areas parents feel are important to the education of their children
What education and qualifications local businesses will need in coming years

The meeting begins at 7 pm in the Pentland Hotel upstairs lounge on Thursday 22nd, tea and coffee will be provided.
