I have been contacted by a company wanting to use one of my pics of the wester pipeline in a publication, but they also wanted to make sure they have their facts right and as i am not involved with the pipeline can anyone put me right please?
In their reply email to me is this .....
"
I was hoping you have a little bit more info about the image. There is a
paragraph in the feature that reads:
"For almost 30 years, the Wester 'flow-line bundle' oil and gas pipeline
yard, near John O'Groats, has been an important component of the local
economy. The 'bundles' (pipelines within an outer steel casing) have
been adapted to operate in deep waters using an innovative computer
controlled mid-water towage system for delivering lengths (to 5 km) to
the fields. This may be adaptable for Pentland Firth seabed
installations."

Am I right in thinking that this is one of those 'bundles'?"

Any info gratefully received thanks folks. The picture they are referring to is here (http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-8482036-an-active-oil-pipeline-in-wester-sinclair-bay-caithness-scotland.html).
