This is a transcript from an email from our head office:
"Please note with immediate effect, the use of bottled water in all our offices has been stopped. Would you therefore ensure that this instruction is passed on as necessary. Please note this refers to small bottled water, nto the cold water dispenser's which are in place".
We thought this was H&S gone mad because it didn't ban cups of tea or coffee but it gets better. The reason is because of the carbon footprint in the manufacturing of plastic bottles. No-one has thought that the staff were re-filling the bottles from the cold water dispenser but now with the new rule they have to use the plastic cups provided, increasing the plastic cup manufacturing and increased cost's to the company!
We've also had other crazy rules imposed which I'll post later.
