Unblocking a nokia phone

I have a vodafone contract, and a broke my phone.Ive bought a new nokia, same one as before, but its a o2 one and its asking for a 'restriction code' which i cannot find in any of the books i have, not does it tell me where to get the code. Any ideas what to do?

When I changed networks and needed my Nokia unlocking the network quoted £20 and 10 days wait, the shop on the high street £10 and half an hour but I got the unlock code for £1.50 off the internet and it was e mailed within 10 minutes.

ok instructions i give you read throught a few times or get someone to read them out to you so you can type the code in fast ,right to #pw843961767151570+# ok how to get a p is *3times fast ok for a w is 4 times fast and for a + 4 times fast . see how you get on with that may need another one but try this first with sim out off your fone

ive tryed entering #pw843961767151570+# and the phone tells me code error. It only puts the prompt for the code on the screen when the sim is in the phone. Thanx so far
