Tradesmen

Can anyone give a list of reliable, trustworthy tradesmen in caithness?I have had so many bad experiences with various people, though have found a handful who are good, unfortunately they're the ones who are so busy I can never get them out.Looking for builders, joiners and roofers.
I had one roofer who told me one of the roofs was shot and needed complete replacement ( it was a roof that can't be seen from the ground). He said it would cost in the region of £15,000, nearly caving in -he said.I went up there with another roofer and there was nothing wrong with it other than a small split in the lead work which cost us £150.00 to fix.
A joinery firm in wick dressed some expensive wood for me and it came back off angle , apparently thats the way it comes out of the machine!- those little known "off angle" planer thicknessers that I'd forgotten about-stupid me.
Sorry about this little rant but I've had enough!
So please if there are any recommendations i should dearly know
