foot and mouth

Having recently been at an awards ceremony where the keynote speaker was pointing out the problems with the way the media reports politics and politics reports to the media I was wondering what was the final cause of the foot and mouth outbreak?
A quick google search didn't reveal much. Does anyone know if the government lab was at fault or was it an act of nature?

good question tristan and one you will probably never find the answer to lol lets face it a politician is a man that doesn't answer a question unless he can't avoid it and the press never ask the right question at the right time i think its called red tape lol :lol:

Thank you, I did find it there. For those who don't want to read it all it seems the conclusions are:
1}the lab was the source
2}it was most likely picked up from an effluent pipe leak.
