I have just been given a camera. It is a Polaroid PDC3030 3.2 Mega pixel camera. It includes a Fujifilm MG-4S SmartMedia memory card which holds 4 Megabytes of info, ie two pictures, although my mother claims to have had ten on it, but she only takes pictures of little dogs.
I know but if I did not laugh!
I have tried Polaroid, Fujifilm and Amazon but cannot find anything on the net that will fit and be compatible.
That is not strictly true because I may have come across something but nothing that says "Yes, this will fit Polaroid PDC3030".
It isn't important, I have survived until now without taking a single photo' but it would be nice to have it available.
I may just be looking in the wrong places.
Thanks.
PS The card is roughly an inch square

I've got one of these, very basic, but not a bad little camera. I've taken some great pictures with it.
I got my memory cards from eBay (http://forum.caithness.org/go.php?url=http://search.ebay.co.uk/SmartMedia_W0QQfromZR18QQfsopZ1QQsspagenameZADMEQ3 aBQ3aTB2Q3aUKQ3a2). If I remember rightly, the biggest is 128mb. I'll have a nosey round the house too, I might have a spare one kicking around. If I have you're welcome to it. They're pretty cheap on eBay though.

I do not actually know what i want!!
I cannot find the technical details so I cannot look for anything specific.
If you have one I shall buy you a replacement of whatever your want and pay both postages.
Thanks.

If you click on the eBay link I posted earlier, it'll take you straight to the smart media cards. :)

If you need a copy of the manual for it you can download it from this (http://www.devicemanuals.com/guide/Digital%20Cameras/Polaroid/Polaroid-PDC-3030-(English-spain-French)-TlRVd05qZz.html) page.

If you go to a site such as:

http://www.offtek.co.uk/

and follow the tab for camera memory.
Then say Polaroid, then the model number, it will give the options that they sell.

I've used them to buy memory for various cameras, PDAs, GPS...

Cheers Jimbews,
Just tried it but no PDC3030.
It is only four years since it was first on sale.
I know technology moves on rapidly, bear with me I will see what I e bay sends me.

You should be fine, there is only one type of smartmedia card and they go up to 128mb. The only thing is that smartmedia is a bit like betamax video, it didn't take off too well, so now it can be harder to find them. Still, eBay seems to have an ok supply :)

Sorry - misread it as PDC 3050.

According to the Polariod website the camera take SM cards up to 128Mb.
Then says that these are no longer available, so eBay may well be the only source.
Having said that - Googling Polaroid PDC-3030 leads to a few bad reviews, so it may not be worth spending any money :-(

Its a freebie and I have just spent £12 on e bay If it works so be it, if not then I have never taken a digital camera apart before. Actually it works very well as a webcam and the USB to USB lead is probably worth a tenner.
