Thanks for sharing your snaps Tugs but unfortunately, as with many photos posted in this forum, you haven't told us what/where we're looking at. :roll: (sorry, pet hate of mine ~ why post a lovely pic and not tell us where it is?)

sorry, it's the view from a ship called the queen of scandinavia, 3 night mini cruise from newcastle to bergen via stavanger and haugesund, so mostly the norwegian coastline and one of the docks leaving the tyne and one of the border on the A68 Jedburgh road at sunrise

Sorry for jumping in here Buttercup & Tugs but my sister and her partner are coming over July/August and my sister wants a month in Thurso but her mate wants to go to Norway,any advice on how to get there.Thanks Robin

As northlight says, look at smyril, the way i went was from newcastle, so heap loads more expensive to get to newcastle and back than the trip to norway itself lol

Thanks again & North Light still looking for a photo of the caves at the Rockwell Regards Robin

See you never know who will show up on your doorstep,have a photo of my grann standing outside your place taken back in the 40s,I had an aunt used to live there,big day out was a walk from the Glebe to visit,Take care Robin

Thanks so much for posting your photos, Robin. I remember the Salvation Army cave - used to like taking a peek in there when I was a bairn. I often wondered how long it took folk to carve the inscriptions on the wall - and who they had all been. I'm sure there must have been a few dates inscribed as well, alongside some of the letters.
