Yes, beautiful but you will have to go back in the dark to see it lit up....impressive.

Horse, what a lovely photo of one of my fave castles! :) I've been there three times, but it was a number of years ago. Took the tour of the castle, but I see from the official site that you can now view the bedrooms on the third floor, which you couldn't back then. I do remember there being a lock of Bonnie Prince Charlie's hair on display, and I was quite fascinated by that.

Here's a link to the official site, from which you can take a virtual tour of the castle. The lock of hair was on display under glass in the Banqueting Hall.

Thank you for sharing horse, those pictures brought back a few memories as I have not been there for a few years.
It's not the biggest or grandest of castles but it seems to have a presence second to none.
