Seals at Brough

[Deemac]

Taken a couple of weekends ago (350D, 400mm sigma). Went down to the beach with the intention of a few long exposure tests and to my surprise these were sunbathing on the rocks. First time I've photographed seals in the wild.

Really beautiful shots.

They are often there, and you can drive right down to the jetty with your tripod ready, much easier than trekking to the haven at Skarfskerry.

You really got the depth of field working on the last three.

(Thanks PS.... could maybe have graduated the blur as it appears to cut off a bit abruptly.)
