While currently selling a few odds and ends over EBay, I wondered what is the most unusual thing orgers have ever bought or sold on EBay?

Mine is probably the sale of a set of household blinds.

I've sold a piece of driftwood!

I got the idea when I saw a program on telly where a guy sold a piece of old rope on ebay, that he found on the beach.

I had excellent feedback as well. :D

I bought a Total Gym once.
I think I got more exercise by going to pick the thing up and carting it home, than I ever did by using it.
It is still taking up space in the spare bedroom.
I can't find anyone as daft as me to buy it.

James Blunt apparently sold his sister on e-bay.

She needed to get somewhere for a funeral and had missed her links so good old James put her up for sale and a millionaire with a helicopter swept in an saved the day...a few years later she married the guy.

Now you have one more reason to detest James Blunt... as if that were needed.

I suppose all of us at some time think its about time to get in to shape and you see a piece of equipment that is just what you might be looking for.The main thing that puts me off buying is when the seller puts "had very little use and is taking up to much space"lol. I think there is one on the org here somewhere.

My pal who is a portly, bearded, Sci -fi maniac bought a Russian Army greatcoat, a large Australian hat and a 6 ft stripy scarf from e-bay... he wears it all in the style of Dr Who meets James Robertson Justice.

He looks amazing and always gets a taxi!:D

The biggest thing I've sold was a king size bed and probably the strangest item I've bought was conkers, one of my more memorable sales was an old remote control which went for £27. There must be more, I will have to have a good think, I've had over 1700 transactions and there must be some unusual ones in that lot!

I bought a clock which a picture of a different animal by each number and on the hour it makes the noise of whichever animal it has reached, so 9o'clock in our house is chimpanzee o'clock etc. I love the look on people's faces when they hear it for the first time
In the kitchen we have a backwards clock which I think came from eBay too.
