The Center for Disease Control has released a list of symptoms of bird flu.
If you experience any of the following, please seek medical treatment immediately:

1. High fever
2. Congestion
3. Nausea
4. Fatigue
5. Aching in the joints
6. An irresistible urge to poo on someone's windshield

Fear. I bet everyone at NHS 24 will be looking forward to paranoid people, convinced they've got bird flu, inundating them with calls over the festive period. Meltdown is the word.

If DEFRA don't know the difference between 1 dead parrot and 50 dead finches we may as well all give up. Come back John Cleese - all is forgiven. Having apparently decided that what they thought was a dead parrot was actually 50 finches, they then cannot tell us whether any of them escaped (presumably while still alive?).
