How many charity shops are there now in Caithness?

A new phenomenon is the charity superstore- there's a terrific one just outside Gloucester run by Oxfam- does good repro furniture for very small sums and specialises in retro evening wear. Chap who runs it tells me that there are plans to run a similar enterprise in the Highlands- any truth in the rumour that it may be in the new retail park?

Friend in Wick tells me that HomeAid have got off to a good start- and are undercutting their neighbours

:)What a great idea. It would be nice to have a sort of charity co-operative. Hope it comes off but as the Caithness rumour mill is always churning its probably not likely.

Och Aye - it's all true bagpuss.

Did the "Chap who runs it" not trust you with the true facts then? Or maybe your "Friend in Wick" has not found a wooden spoon in any of the Charity Shops big enough to present you with yet.

Even if they could afford the postage from Caithness to London, I doubt it could take the shine off your new life. That is what you left Caithness for - was it not? Enjoy - we are doing fine. :D
