Its interesting to note that todays ceefax is reporting that the SNP councillors of HC are voting for retention of the Roy Bridge primary school and not amalgamate it with Spean Bridge.
At full council on the 8th of May they will decided to keep both schools or recommence consultation.

Maybe there is a glimmer of hope that our concillors are starting to question information that is presented to them.

Let's hope that it extends to other cuts!

Would the decision have been the same without the fight put up by the Scottish Rural Schools Network and the parents to keep it open?

It makes you wonder why then that Lybster is losing its nursery when the parents clearly are doing everything that they can to keep it.
Why is your local councillor not listening to public opinion.?[disgust]

They are not making the representations that they should be - prefer to nod their heads than think of the consequences!http://forum.caithness.org/images/icons/icon9.gif No doubt come the next elections they will all hope that we have short memories!

Its about time that Highland Region started to be run by its elected representatives rather than non-elected civil servants under orders from their Hollyrood masters. A refreshing change and long may it continue!
