It would appear that it is has been a success with huge increases in the amount of folk giving up smoking and reductions in smoking related illnesses and deaths. Bars and clubs are seeing increases in trade. Probably all the non-smokers knowing that they can breathe when they want to go to a bar. Yayyy for common sense.:D

It has made a huge difference to my life, now we can go anywhere we like to eat and such, I hate smoking!

Mind you, to get the crack I have to endure the smoking areas now and then!

Not since I was in Scandinavia have I seen so many beer gardens so far North!

I think Scotland went smokefree before the rest of the UK but I have to say it is great going into a pub or restaurant and to enjoy a pint or food in a clean atmosphere.

Trouble is now you have to scale a mountain of dogends to get into/out of the places...
