Hi, just wonder if anyone is using mobile broadband, in the caithness area? Is it working ok? I was looking into trying it, and bought a usb modem from "3" network, but it will not connect! Helpline says it wont work up here! Any ideas, which will work, cheers.

I don't think 3 covers up this way which is why it won't work.

I use T-Mobile (through my phone admittedly) on a daily basis to get my email and surf the web and it works well. I have used it through my laptop too. Speeds are GPRS which is not anything close to what they advertise (3G, HSDPA!!). Nearest 3G I believe is Inverness.

If you're looking to do anything other than the occasional email and web surfing you're going to be frustrated. GPRS maximum is 48k but I don't know what the max up here is - could be a lot less.
