I just love this noise that the snow makes... shame that I can`t hear it very often...

do you mean the crunch under foot or that suddenly everything in the world is silent or at least quieter

Good interpretation Bobbyian! I was thinking of the "real sound" it makes though... like a *knurpsi* *knirschi* sound :-)) or even a *matsch* when its a bit wetter :-))

Do agree with you about the sound of snow, it's a peculiar experience I think, the falling snow seems to deaden most other sounds, yet you seem to be able to here the soft sound of the snow.

I like the series of photographs, particularly Castlehill Harbour, but there I think we both share a passion for the same location.

Apparantly, for the radio, the sound of snow under boots is created by a stocking full of cornflour being squeezed.

Who found this out? What were they doing at the time?:lol:
