They are excellent seabird, no snow in Thurso this morning when I went out, but this is from above the beach.

Here's some I took today as well. Great light & sky much to my surprise. Some initial experiments with the ND filters.

Love the one of the waterfall Deemac.

Is it just my eyes or are the two windmills in the distance leaning to one side? Surely it wasn't that windy today? :D

Deemac,

Particularly like the one looking west from Forss, excellent sky.

I was at Thurso Beach after lunch - the tide was as far out as I remember ever seeing it. Weather was pretty wild, although not as bad as in North Lights photo from the morning.

10mm lens, I was right under the near turbine. What a noise these machines make!!

It was a bit too chilly for any half naked bodies to appear on the beach today:lol:

All excellent photographs...especially love the Mill.
Snow here in Mancunia...about an inch, enough to cause chaos on any normal workday.

Is that the 10-22?

So 16-35 35mm equivalent; certainly a good wide to normal for a DSLR.

:)

Yes, 10-20mm (one of my favourites)

Mill No.2 is better shot for me, each to their own aye?

I too prefer the second Mill photo. I'm not too sure why but I think I also prefer the second windmill shot - might be that portrait makes the windmill seem much bigger than in the landscape shot.

That said they're all fantastic shots! I'd be delighted to end up with an A-list anything near as good as your B-list.

Great photos yet again, I prefer the 'B' list photos personally!

Deemac I think your B list is more striking but that s my opinion

Yup, I agree. Deemac's 'B' list is possibly better.

The B-List (my bad use of terminology I know) was not intended to be sub-standard to the first selection, just a second selection of images with more time taken to develop from all the initial raw shots. (great what with a fresh pair of eyes can see the next day).

Thanks for all your comments folks.

Deemac,

Really like the second image of Forss Mill, don't think that should be on the B list at all.
