Talk about toad in the hole but stoat in a wall !!! great pics.

Was filling the coal bucket when something shot by. I had a look around the end of the wall and there was a mouse there. On closer inspection I thought - funny , it couldn't have been that - it's dead. Then I saw the Stoat's nose peeking out of the wall. It was more interested in its meal than me ! pics were taken from 6 ft away.

I was so focused on the mouse that I did not notice the stoat peeking through the wall in the first photo until I went back and took another look. Hard to believe it would stick around while you took pics. It must have been real hungry.

What an amazing set of pictures, I too missed the stoat in the first picture. The mouse looks very big in comparison to the stoat, could it perhaps be a rat.
