IM trying to find out if anyone does a service like the kiln store did,bringing stuff up from ikea???

Why don't you see if anyone else wants anything from Ikea and split the delivery charge.

There's a chap on ebay who offers delivery of items from Ikea

Also the Kiln Store in Thurso used to deliver items (they have catalogues) but never used them as I think the charge was about 20% of the item's cost, don't quote me on this I may well be wrong, sorry just re-read original post and didn't see you had already mentioned this option, duh @ me!

I think Colin or Graham Mackenzie, from Mackenzie Removals collect and deliver from Ikea.

Chaz could you let me know how you get on, as I am going to Ikea next week, and if I see anything I like I would like to try and get it home after my holidays.

Thank you everyone,am going to contact mackenzies and the man on ebay for a quote, would go myself, but car wont fit a day bed in:(If anyone has anyother ideas or is going down with a large vehicle, please let me know:)

I am sure if enough of you wanted to buy from Ikea, splitting the delivery charge would be a solution. No doubt this would be a good place to see if others were interested.

which day bed is it i am going south on friday and back on Sunday if you want i could call into Glasgow ikea and and bring it over to you on Sunday afternoon for £40. or £30 if you can collect it from Wick. We have a lwb High top van
Anyone else want anything let us know.
