Where would be the best parts of Thurso to take some nice photos of that I can enlarge and print off to frame and put on wall? Any interesting/detailed things or places? cheers.

Surely someone has some suggestions or some examples of stuff they've done?

I also think Thurso East is a great place to go for a walk & photos.

I think there are a lot of buildings in the town which are worth taking pics of (as demonstrated so well and far better than I could do by Deemac).

I like the bay though and I often stop by the coastgaurd hut on the way to scrabster if I'm driving past. Couple I could find easily below.

Hi darkie@dreamtilt.com.au,
I have only lived in Thurso since 2004, and not being a native I do not know where the Salvation Army cave is, if someone can be kind enough to tell me where it is I will try and take a photograph of it over the next month or so.
Meanwhile I'm off to look at a map!

http://forum.caithness.org/images/icons/icon6.gif Thanks for the quick responce North Light, the Sally Ann cave is down at the Rockwell, just below the caravan park at the Glebe,if it is still safe you should have a look, wall is covered with names cut in the rock with the S A badge well shown, used to spend most of my youth down there climbing and swimming, any of you oldies remember Alfie Brennan, tought you how to swim by throughing and made you swim or drown but Alfie, who only had one leg was like a seal in the water and you were safe while he was around, sorry for rattlin on,thoughts of the Rockwell wakes up a few memories, will keep my eyes open for a posting Regards Robin
