Your electricity costs substantially more than now.

The reason for that is the higher costs of renewable energy coupled with the higher cost of oil past 'peak oil'.

So it doesn't matter what we do, were knackered as far as electricity bills go,

I was quite chuffed with myself, eliminated fossil fuels and met the demand through nuclear, renewables and insulation.

The cost of energy is always going to be high because of increasing demands and construction costs. It is soon going to be the major item in every households budget. The older generation (mine) have been lucky enough to live in a period of low energy costs.

Ooops - I would only need to build another 17 nuclear power stations - but at least everyone's house would be well insulated and I wouldn't be relying on imported fuel and wind turbines. Good fun if nothing else.
