First And Last Time I Go To The Gym

Well Ive been meaning to do this for ages so thought it was time to sort myself out so I got my Gym membership from the swimming pool in Wick.
I was quite nervous as I was a total newbie so got changed and headed towards the gym.

I could barely open the door until this brute covered in tattoo's just about knocked me through the building as he come through from the other side "get up wee guy" he said in a deep grumbly voice.

So in I goes and all I could hear was grunts and groans coming from all directions and could also feel the stare of bloodshot eyes burning into me as I was new.

I didnt no where to look so started reading the posters on the wall about which machines/reps tone certain parts of the body, I couldn't believe how much I had my work cut out to get in shape.

So I plugged in my mp3 cranked up the tunes, gritted my teeth and got on with the tasks in hand. I started to get into the rhythm of it but it was bloody hard work, the sweat was just lashing off me and I felt my head was gonna explode as my face was red raw.
I just plodded away all day with people just coming and going until one of the staff came up to my quite cautiously and said sorry sir but were closing in 2mins. I couldn't understand her fear until I got off one of the machines and saw the state of me in the mirror!!!!!

They never warned me this could happen, now my clothes dont fit, people wont approach me in fear.....its made me a monster!!!

I have been meaning to take up the Gym in Wick. Just before Chritmas I filled out all the forms and sent them off for a membership to to use the pool and all facilities on a monthly basis.As with all good intentions I have not been yet.If this is the sort of thing that may happen to me then I might give it a miss. LOL:lol:
