I like lots of films with funny bits in them, but the funniest film I've watched is Withnail and I, especially when the boys put a chicken on the brick in the oven!

I've seen a lot of really funny films, some of which have been mentioned already in previous posts but the funniest films ever, for me are The 'Adventures of Slappy the Sealion' and a very early Tom Hanks one, The Money Pit'[lol]

Oh!! I love The Money Pit! The bit when he's in the garden being chased by bees always has me in tears of laughter.

I don't normally like to laugh at films but....

Shaun of the Dead recently coerced a couple of chuckles...
Full Monty perhaps...Mousehunt.You really have me thinking about cinematic comedy now...er...
I've seen Carry on Camping at least 35 times but it can still raise a titter.
(I was a cinema projectionist in 1969 & we ran it for a fortneet)

Oh yes...the film that made me laugh the most was Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau - 'Shot in the Dark' when I saw it for the first time c.1973....thanks for the memory.

I also recall 'Trains, Plains and Automobiles...oh and of course 'The Man with Two Brains' or similar title (Steve Martin) - that was absolutely hilarious for the first half hour.

"Oh pointy bird..
A pointy pointy..
Anoint thy head..
Annointy nointy" - I'm laughing now.

The 51st State
Theres Something about Mary
Hot Fuzz
Little Miss Sunshine
Ferris Buellers Day Off
Run Fat Boy Run
Calendar Girls
Ratatouille

How about a thread that films that irritate.
My personal list would include Borat....cannot stand him!

Another funny film, the line about "azaleas on the blacony" is one of the best ever!

I laughed at Borat...but the general feeling I had was uncomfortability 'if there is such a woid. I felt he was taking advantage of well meaning people who through no fault of their own didn't have a clue they were being lampooned by a media savvy cyni-comic.
