you can apparently do it online it will give you a code to put in your phone, dont knon how much this costs though.

just put search on the computer on this and it seems easy to do prices vary from £1.99 so not to bad

Try eBay they normally have unlocking code from about 99p. I've unlocked a few phones with codes purchased from eBay and had no problems at all. It cost me £20 in Inverness so I know which I prefer :D. Hope that helps x

Gets you unlocking codes for those phones that don't need cables.
Give it a go but if it messes up, or someone has tried unlocking it before you might find yourself locked out and stuck with a locked phone.
