Hello cuddlepop, It's a good collection of photos. But, you do need to use the 'rule' of thirds a bit more as most of your focal point is right in the centre of the photos. You could try cropping some of them using Picassa to give you that best proportions.

That brought back some memories did you trip over The Faerie Bridge?
Thanks for sharing.

A bit like painting a picture when you break it down for balance?
Basically I'm just playing at it and dont know if I have the patience to stand still, position and wait.
Yesterday it took me all my time to hold the camera phone straight it was so windy.

Och go on psyber... give cuddlepop some credit for making the tremendous effort and going out to those inaccessible places just to give us orgers the benefit of the view!;)

Dont be distracted by bad weather... that makes very often the best pics:), so off you go.....

Great pics Cuddlepop. Can I be a bit thick and ask what the winch is for? Not humans surely

Have you seen whales from Neist Point (or is it dolphins?)

The winch is used for taking supplies down from the top.Its a fair climb and the lighthouse keepers although not there anymore their accomodation is let out as self catering or BB.
Oh use to live not far from the lighthouse and use to fish off the rocks. He used the moterbike to go up and down the hill with his catch.
It makes Waligoe look like a stroll only not as steep.

I dont go over often as its about an hour and a half drive away so haven't seen any whales or dolphins.
Think other people may have.
I wish Raven would go over the next time she's here as I cant begin to do the place justice it needs some paroramic treatment.
Really pleased with my Sony camera phone.

Thanks for the info. Next time we are in Skye I am definitely going to Neist Point, the road was closed due to an accident last time and we were leaving the island next morning so never got.
I had visions of you and the dogs sitting in the winch and other half winding a handle to get you to the top

You simply have to go its a truely amazing place.

I much prefer visiting these places when its quieter in the winter.

I wish we were able to be winched up from the bottom as the climb back up is certainly not for the unfit.
