:D Coming into winter I am thinkiing about the high fuel bills. I had been wondering about the cost of the big red 47kg gas cylinders as opposed to the bulk tank.

I phoned this morning to my gas company and said I was thinking of switching, the tank was due to be exchanged and I was running low. I was amazed to be phoned back with a substantial reduction of over 15%!

What is everybody else paying? What is the lowest price in Caithness? We use 4,500 litres lpg annually so see if you can better 25p per litre!

Im suprised at that you would think it would be cheaper to buy in bulk rather than cylinders.I would image if you go onto useing cylinders there might be regulation on how u store them at your house you might have to put them in cage.

You can read about the committee at

www.competition-commission.org.uk/inquiries/ current/gas

They also appear to be publishing preliminary findings!
