Super pics of Dunrobin, folks! :) I'm wondering if it's my eyes or an optical illusion, but the castle looks like it's tilting slightly to the right in your photo, buggyracer! Do we have the Leaning Castle of Golspie here???

Dan67,

Copy the IMG Code given below your uploaded image on Photobucket and paste it into your post on Caithness.org.

Hope that helps.

Cracking pics of Dunrobin. It realy does look like something out of a fairytale with its pointy turrets.

Looking forward to seeing your photo of Dunrobin Castle when you get it posted here, dan67! :) I have fond memories of visiting and taking a tour of the castle and gardens on more than one occasion. It owes its fairytale-like appearance to Sir Charles Barry, the architect of the Houses of Parliament in London. In 1845, he completely remodeled the castle from a plain, medieval fortress to the architectural fantasy that exists today.

My favourite castle - like something from a fairy tale but inside it would actually be nice to live in.

Gosh...now that is impressive. We only staye dlong enough to see the building from one side - not quite a handbrake turn on the car park but close....these are super photos of a fabulous building. What extremes of human endeavour...inspired architecture and craftmanship to house a mean spirited bunch of blue bloods who were more inclined towards sheep than folk. If I understand my history correctly of course.
