Shrove Tuesday is upon us
Pancake makers here among us
Flour and eggs to make a batter
then we flip and all goes splatter !!!
hits the deck oh !! whats the matter


February is the month of romance
Cards and Flowers in a mass
A leap year is 2008
and some young man awaits his fate
the 29th is sure her day
will he accept with a Yeh or Nay !!!

All Fair Maidens are obsessed
with Valentines and all that mess
If they get them they tell All
If they dont they lie and jest

Flowers are for lovers given
Chocs make the girl no slimmer
to get a card is just a hoot
if they dont they say what a hoot!!!

A fair maiden has been won
with what drops on the daily run
Oh dear postie dont delay
please just take to my love today !!!
