The Tesco website says that it has two locations in Thurso. One labelled 'Thurso' and the second labelled 'Thurso (Railway Station)'.

It certainly would not surprise me if the crafty company are well advanced with their dealings with Miller Development for the mart/railway station site.

It's right you know, click on; http://www.tesco.com/storelocator/ (http://www.tesco.com/storelocator/) and type in 'Thurso' and yes it comes up with two locations, one of which is 'the railway station' - same as it does if you type in 'Leyland' (Lancs.) or 'Inverness' - 'railway stations' must be a default setting.. Never mind..

All I want really is reasonable price fuel http://www.petrolprices.com/ (http://www.petrolprices.com/) £1.06.9 Thurso or Wick £104.9 or £0.99.9 (ASDA Perth)..?
Well we're just off from 'out west' over to Wick, bypassing Thurso as usual. Why? well Wick has cheaper fuel - fair enough I'm only saving myself £1.20 on a full tank, but I'll have a choice of 20,000 products in Tesco, we'll nip into Boots then up to Homebase (got a coupe quid Reward Vouchers) and need some DIY stuff, might nip into Argos to look at Electric blankets, then EWM, then to Whetherspoons for coffee.. so day out..

It has always struck me as rather odd that there are no AZDA stores in the Highland Region, nearest in Elgin, Grampian Region, yet Tescos seem to be able to put them up wherever and whenever they want in the Highlands. Methinks there is something underhand going on, the Highland Region Council I'm sure has something to tell us but I bet they won't.

They've gone further than that. Tescos have just started work renovating a shop near my house - in Newbury Park, California!
