Hi Garry
In my tree I am showing Ann Flett d1905 ,a daug of Henry Flett and Diana Steven, as marrying William Couper in 25 Feb 1851 in Wick. Census etc Naming pattern of children fits this also.

Your Ann Flett could be daug of Robert Flett and Mary Cursiter - 25 Dec 1820 C 1821 ???Kirkwall Orkney.?????? Could be Robert, a musician, born 1786 in a couple Orkney census. Orkney of course has loads of FLETT.

See also Bremner Files - although no guarantee that they are all correct!

From Census records
NB : (Ann Born Kirkwall rest all Wick)
1861 Census shows a Bremner family Grant St Wick
Alex 25 Fisherman Ann 36 William 9 Jean 7 Robert 3 -
1871 Kinnaird Street Wick
Alex 44 Ann 48 Jean 17 John 10 Alex 7
1881
Alex 53 Ann F 57 John 21 and a Mary Donald Relative aged 19
1891 Huddart Street Wick
Alex 64 Ann 66 John 28 and Alex Rafferty g'son 5(shows his father as a John but that is not same as the Rafferty on the Bremner link above)
1901 Huddart Street
Ann 80 and Alex Rafferty aged 15 g'son (fisherman)
Hope it helps narrow things down a bit .
